MUSIC AT EASTER
Music is an integral part of worship at Easter, music lifts us up and music connects us!
No matter your preferred style, Easter has something for you.
Easter choir
NEW SEASON BEGINS SEPTEMBER 4
Open to persons High School and greater. Music reading is helpful but not required, and if you can’t be there every week, we can work with that, too.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:45 at Easter on the Hill, and the treats at break time are always amazing.
New members are welcome at any time! Contact Ben Kornelis for more information.
Ringers
Exultate Ringers: The Exultate Ringers are a group of musicians with a wide range of handbell experience – some have played for years, while for others of us, this is our first handbell experience. We have a great time exploring the uniquely collaborative nature of handbell ringing! We typically play two-three octave music, depending on player availability, and often have positions for new ringers in September and January. We participate in worship about four times each year, and rehearsals are 8:00-9:00 pm on Thursdays.
Jubilate Ringers: The Jubilate Ringers are a dedicated group of advanced handbell ringers, playing five-octave repertoire, usually Level III and higher. We participate in worship five-six times each year, including the Advent and Spring Choral Services. Rehearsals are 7:00-8:00 pm on Thursdays. While open positions are infrequent, substitute ringers are frequently needed.
Choristers (kids choir)
Easter welcomes kids in worship. The Choristers is a choir for kids grade 2 - 5. All singing experience levels are invited!
Led by Sacha Pankratz, rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at the Hill from 5:15 - 5:45pm in the choir room.
