Pastor Megan, Pastor Erik and Pastor Kevin discuss Luke 4:22-30. The crowds turn on Jesus so quickly. First, they’re impressed by the hometown boy doing big things. Then, they’re angry that Jesus tells them that those on the outside of the margins are on the inside of God’s love. Jesus’ teachings aren’t easy. They won’t always make us feel safe and comfortable. They should challenge us, push us outside our boxes, and always call us to those who are more vulnerable or excluded. What do we do when Jesus offends us?
