Worship with us in-person or online.

Sunday at 9:45 a.m. for an organ & choir led service at our Easter on the Hill location

and at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m for band-led worship at our Easter by the Lake location.

Unable to attend in-person? We will live stream worship each week. Live streaming of Easter worship is possible due to the work of volunteers. When volunteers are not available, the worship service cannot be streamed.

We will soon be renting the space at Easter on the Hill from the new owners. What questions might you have about this arrangement?

We continue to make progress on our One Easter construction project. Right now, we know that Easter Preschool will remain at the Hill location through the end of the 2024-2025 school year, paying their same/current rent as part of our rental agreement. We also know that Easter Preschool may rent space at the Hill location for the 2025-2026 school year, after our rental arrangement is done. That may also include the 2026-2027 school year, however their rent costs will increase significantly. We have a detailed proposal from our architect that would alter the current One Easter construction plan to add in a preschool space now, doing so would increase costs well beyond budget. What are your thoughts and opinions with respect to Easter Preschool?

What additional actions do you think we should take in furtherance of Easter’s Land Acknowledgement resolution?

Easter Land Acknowledgement Resolution; approved on April 30, 2023 Be it resolved that: We at Easter Lutheran Church acknowledge that we gather and worship on Dakota homeland, near the sacred gathering and burial site called “Oheyawahi” (O-He-Ya-Wa-He -” a place much visited”) also known as Pilot Knob, near “Bdote Mni Sota”, where the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers come together, the center of creation for the Dakota people. Easter Lutheran specifically sits on the site of the ancestral Mdewakanton land led by Black Dog in the 1800’s. We acknowledge this homeland was taken from the Dakota people through intentional governmental policy, settler colonization and violence. We realize that this has resulted in lasting emotional, social, cultural, spiritual, and physical harm and we recognize that the white Christian church, of which we are a part, has often been complicit -either actively or silently- in this exploitation. We honor with gratitude the generations of Indigenous people who have been and continue to be stewards of this land. We look to Native American communities and leaders as examples of resilience, grace, resistance, and strength. Given the deep significance of this sacred ground, as well as its painful history, we recognize our responsibility to respect and honor this land and the people in all that we do. As a congregation, we commit ourselves to pray, to listen, and to learn about past and present injustices and our role in them. We will actively work to deepen our ties with the Dakota and other tribal nations to bring about justice, peace and reconciliation, especially in Mni Sota.
