How You can be involved

  • Help set up resident lunches on weekends
  • Pick up donations at local Target stores on weekday mornings
  • Provide assistance to residents leaving Dakota Woodlands and moving into their own home
  • Adopt-a-Room – spruce up and decorate a room for an incoming family
  • Donate high-need items like diapers, new pillows, twin and full size sheet sets, new or gently used small kitchen appliances like coffee makers, crockpots and toasters, new and gently used kitchen knife sets, pots and pans
  • Commit to a two-hour childcare shift to allow a mom to attend a class or go on a job interview
  • Serve as a volunteer receptionist – especially from 4-6:30 p.m. on weekdays
