  • Easter’s Dementia Caregiver Support Group
    If you have a loved one or are caring for a loved one living with dementia/Alzheimer’s, attend this support group to share about your own struggles and needs, identify and reduce personal stress, learn communication skills for challenging situations and much more. This confidential group is facilitated by Easter member Angie, and is open to anyone. Learn more
  • Understanding Dementia
    Learn more about the symptoms and struggles of people living with Dementia, explore ways to communicate, and other helpful advice for those caring for someone with Dementia. Led by Easter member and local expert Angie Swetland.  Angie served seniors for over 40 years in faith-based not-for-profit settings. This included 19 years at Presbyterian Homes and Services where she oversaw Dementia Care education and programs. She has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Leading Age of MN for contributions to the areas of senior housing, assisted living, and Dementia services.   • Vital Aging 4-Part Series
    As you age are you wondering what resources are available to help you stay in your home or what to do after leaving your home? Or are you currently providing care for your mom or dad or another beloved adult? This free series will explore helpful resources available to caregivers and older adults, equip individuals and households to have difficult conversations, and give information on long-term care and senior housing.The Summer 2018 series is completed.     This free caregiver support group is co-facilitated by Laura Matuska, LSW Housing Social Worker, Ebenezer Ridges Campus and Victoria Sliva, Director, Ebenezer Ridges Adult Day Program, the caregiver support group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month (except December and July) to provide information and a collegial environment for discussing the challenges of being a caregiver in the community.
