Meet the Interns
Jon: I’m currently a Freshman at Iowa State University studying Industrial Engineering with a minor in business. This summer, I am looking forward to working alongside the Easter staff to provide an enjoyable VBS experience to the kids of Easter. I am also excited to not only help members of Easter grow in their faith but to also grow in my own. My favorite memory at Easter Lutheran Church has been my two mission trips (New Jersey and Toronto) and seeing the reach of God’s love to everybody I came in contact with on those trips.
Petra: I am a student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities majoring in Strategic Communications Journalism and hoping to minor in Social Justice. This summer, I am excited to get to know the students and children at Easter and learn from and encourage their passion and excitement for Jesus. My favorite memory within the church was being a part of Bible studies with my friends and peers, and taking part in a missions trip to Guatemala. I am so excited for this summer and getting to know the awesome church that is Easter!
Nathan: I’m finishing my second year at the University of Minnesota, studying trumpet performance and music education. I enjoy camping, fishing and of course playing the trumpet in my free time. I’m excited to be working with Easter this summer and being a part of Vacation Bible School and other church activities. Some of my favorite memories of Easter include working at VBS and being a part of the youth band. I’m looking forward to meeting everybody and being around the church this summer.
