Expand participation in quality worship embracing a variety of worship styles. Worship is the primary purpose and function of the church.
Worship Ministry Committee
Develop plans, goals, and actions for carrying out the vision and mission of Easter’s worship ministry. Time commitment: meets monthly. Contact Debbie Finley. dfinley@easter.org
Serving CommunionCommunion Distribution
Assist the pastors in serving communion at worship services at the Hill. Tim commitment: 1-6 times per year. Contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@easter.org
Usher Team/Host Family
Work with others to make the worship space ready at either site. Smile, hand out bulletins or Bibles, and assist with offering and Holy Communion. Clean up the worship space after service as needed. Time commitment: 4-6 times per year, 1.5 hours per time. Contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@easter.org .
Greeter
Greet people with a smile and a handshake as they arrive for worship at either site. Time commitment: 20 minutes before a worship service, 2-3 times per year. Contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@easter.org .
Set up and Decoration Team
Work with others in setting up the Chancel/worship spaces for special events like Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. Time commitment: two planning meetings per year, set up times as agreed to prior to festival days, 1-3 hours per event. Contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@easter.org .
Ecclesiastical Arts Team
Plan, design and implement ideas for meaningful displays in the worship settings, including parament design, when appropriate. Contact Kris Henry .
Reader
Read scripture lessons from the pulpit during worship services on the Hill. Time commitment: 1-4 times per year. Contact the Church Office .
Infant/Toddler Center (ITC)
Care for children from birth to age 3 during worship sevices at either site. Time commitment: 1 hour, 3-4 times per year. Contact Judy Hansen.
Banners
Make new banners, maintain current banners, and hang banners on a timely basis with the church year and theme. Time commitment: as needed.
Altar Guild/Communion Preparation
Prepare for Holy Communition and care for altar appointments at either site. Time commitment: once a month or more, depending on the season of the year. Contact Judy Hansen
Baptismal Napkins
Sew baptismal napkins from supplied pattern and materials supplied. Experience in sewing or counted cross-stitch necessary. Time commitment: about 6 hours per year. Contact Jennifer Peloquin .
First Communion Stoles
Cut and sew first communion stoles. Pattern and materials supplied. Sewing skills needed. Time commitment: about 6 hours per year in the fall. Contact Jennifer Peloquin .
Outdoor Worship Host Teams
Set up chairs, tent/canopies and banners; greet, hand out bulletins, receive offerings. Time commitment: one to 4 times June-August. Contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@easter.org .
Senior Choir
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., September through May. Sing at worship each week on the Hill. Contact Kris Henry . For more information, see Music Ministries .
Jubilate Ringers (experienced adult ringers)
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., September through May. Play in worship on the Hill several times a year. Contact Kris Henry . For more information, see Music Ministries .
Exultate Ringers (beginning adult ringers)
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 8:15-9 p.m., September through May. Play in worship on the Hill a few times a year. Contact Kris Henry . For more information, see Music Ministries .
Vocalists
Soloists/ensembles sing weekly at worship services on the Hill during the summer and frequently September-May. Contact Kris Henry . For more information, see Music Ministries .
Instrumentalists
Various instrumentalists are needed throughout the year to accompany choirs. Instrumental solos/ensembles are scheduled weekly during the summer for worship on the Hill. Contact Kris Henry . For more information, see Music Ministries .
Liturgical Dancers
Dancers are used occasionally throughout the year to enrich worship. Contact Kris Henry .
Recorder Ensemble (adults)
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 8-9 p.m., September-May. Play in worship on the Hill several times a year.
The Messengers (adult singers and rock combo instrumentalists)
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 6 p.m. at the lake. Lead worship at the Lake each week. Contact Kent Henriksen .
Pianists
