Mission and Adventure Trips

If you are interested in participating in a summer youth trip, please contact Pastor Sarah Clark at 651-452-3680 or pastorsarah@easter.org. Please note that space is limited and some of these trips may be full.

To reserve a spot on a mission trip you must turn in a registration form (below) with a $100 deposit.

NATIONAL TRIPS:

The Ozarks (Booneville, AR), June 30- July 7
Grades 9-12, *may still have spots open; Cost: $500
Students will have the opportunity to partner with local ministries- through YouthWorks. They will serve directly through home improvement projects and by serving local children and elderly residents.

Washington DC, July 7-14
Grades 9-12, *may still have spots open; Cost: $550
Students will serve directly through local service agencies and YouthWorks; possibilities may include soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s organizations, or senior living associations.

Milwaukee, WI, July 29-August 3
Grades 7-12, *may still have spots open; Cost: $450
Students will serve directly through local service agencies and YouthWorks; possibilities may include soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s organizations, or senior living associations.

INTERNATIONAL TRIPS:

Tanzania, June 13- July 1, 2012
Open to adults and teenagers,
minimum age of 14; Cost: $4000

ADVENTURE TRIPS:

Flathead Lake, MT, June 16- 23
Grades 10-12,
Cost: $550
Students will kayak, white water raft, explore Glacier National Park, and base-camp out of Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp- all while growing closer to each other and closer to God.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area, MN, July 12- 17
Open to Easter Small Groups, Confirmation Mentor Groups, and anyone older than 14
Cost: $475
Participants will take a five day canoe trip into Minnesota’s own pristine BWCA. All equipment and guides will come from Wilderness Canoe Base- where our groups will spend their first night.

Local Mission Days for Summer Trippers
Dates and times TBA to all Summer Trip participants.
All Summer Trip participants will be asked to serve locally this summer-
in addition to their far-away trips. Projects will be through Lutheran Social Service and are designed to teach Easter Youth that they don’t need to drive 8 or more hours in a van to find people who need our love and service.

Sunday, Aug. 19, 7:30 p.m. – Monday, Aug. 20, 7 a.m.

You’ve gone on your trip. You’ve made some awesome friends. You’ve shared amazing adventures being the hands of God. And now…keep the excitement coming and stay up all night long with your trip friends; sharing stories, playing games, hanging out.

You’re invited to celebrate the ministry of Easter’s summer mission trips. Following Benediction, we will share and hear stories of the incredible experiences that have occurred over the summer. Please join us as we thank everyone- particularly our Sponsors- for their support, dedication, and hard work while sharing God’s love throughout the country and the world. Everyone is welcome.
