Each of us has been given unique gifts by God and passions in life to pursue. Sometimes we are very aware of that and have our personal mission statement in life. Sometimes we are not sure what it is that God is calling us to do and be.
Cathy Nordheim (Spiritual Director) led a group of Easter members through a process to identify and write their own personal mission statement as part of the Lenten focus Meet, Pray, Love . A copy of that 14 page curriculum is available and can be used individually or as a small group.
Everyone at Easter is encouraged to have their own personal mission statement. And all the people of Easter are encouraged to engage the Easter mission statement to consider whether this is what your individual life is about as well, at least in part.
1) consider writing your personal mission statement
2) consider “to grow in faith and carry on the work of Jesus Christ” as part of your personal mission statement
3) consider sharing that with Pastor Jim (via email)
Pastor Jim is deeply interested in discovering how many Easter people share the Easter mission statement or have significant alignment. It is one of our long term congregational goals – to identify 2,020 persons whose personal mission statement substantially includes the church’s mission statement.
