El Divino Salvador de Mundo Lutheran Church of Guatemala

Easter has also enjoyed a partnership with a very poor and struggling church in Guatemala City. It is located in the El Mirador region of the city. it is a modest partnership of $1,000 per your managed by the Augustinian Lutheran Church of Guatemala (also known as ILAG).

Annual visits from ambassadors of Easter create a lively connection of prayer, support and mutual encouragement.

El Mirador School

A small elementary school operated by ILAG enjoys the partnership with Easter when young persons from Easter put on a Vacation Bible School in the summer with a personal visit. Between 6-10 youth (with accompanying adults) provide this ministry. In addition, Easter provides for some teacher’s annual salary!

ILAG

The Augustinian Lutheran Church of Guatemala (Iglesia Luterana Augustinian de Guatemala, or ILAG) is a 20-year-old church with just 17 congregations with the poorest constituents. The ILAG has been developing a Lutheran Center in Guatemala City with the help of many in the Saint Paul Area Synod including Easter Lutheran Church. Some capital assistance has been provided (over $1,000) plus program and scholarship assistance.

Missionary Support

Easter has also provided up to $3,000 per year to support the ministry of Pastor Amanda Olson de Castillo since her ordination as a Lutheran Pastor.
