Pastor Kristen Capel
Lead Pastor Kristen Capel served at Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Racine, WI, for five years before coming to Easter. She received her B.A. in Music and Religion from Wartburg College and her MDiv from Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. Pastor Kris loves working with people of all ages. She is married to Dan Coyle and has two daughters, Annika and Amelia. In her spare time, you can find her hiking, biking and swimming. Pastor Capel is serving at worship and preaching frequently. Pastor Paul Harris
Pastor of Mission Paul Harris came to Easter in May 2000. He has responsibility for helping to develop all areas of Christian learning at Easter with particular focus on adult education. He also regularly preaches and does pastoral care. Pastor Paul and his wife, Sally, have two children, Ken and Arwynn. He grew up in Rockford, Illinois, attended Wheaton College, Yale Divinity School and has done graduate work in Germany, the U of M, and Luther. He taught philosophy at the U of M and Bethel College before becoming a pastor. He has served congregations in Mora, Bayport, and St. Paul. Contact Pastor Paul

Pastor Kevin Olson
Pastor of Community Life Kevin Olson came to Easter in July 2000. His primary area of ministry is coordinating pastoral care. Pastor Kevin also assists with confirmation ministries. This is Pastor Kevin’s third call, having served a two-point parish in rural Glenville, Minnesota, then a small town in Goodhue, Minnesota. Pastor Kevin graduated from Luther Northwestern Seminary in 1986, and was ordained in July of that same year. Pastor Kevin has a passion for family ministry and creating an intergenerational climate where this can take place. He grew up in suburban Plymouth and is a graduate of St. Olaf College. He is married to Sandi, and together they have two children, Hannah and Kenneth. Sandi is also a graduate of St. Olaf, with a B.S.N. in nursing. Contact Pastor Kevin

Pastor Sarah Clark
Associate Pastor Sarah Clark was ordained at Easter in June 2010. She is Easter’s Associate Pastor for Children, Youth, and Family and Easter is her first call in pastoral ministry. Pastor Sarah graduated from Luther College (Decorah, IA) in 2005 with a B.A. in English and Environmental Studies and from Luther Seminary (St Paul, MN) with her MDiv in 2010. She is married to Brian Clark. When she is not teaching confirmation, leading worship, or hanging out with Easter’s teenagers; Sarah loves to play the violin, paddle in the Boundary Waters, make food, hike with her dog, and read books in her hammock. Pastor Jim Borgschatz
Pastor Jim Borgschatz, Emeritus, is the founding pastor of Easter Lutheran Church, beginning work in 1973. He served as lead pastor for 38 years through the growth and development of the diverse ministry of Easter until retiring in the fall of 2011. Upon completing this leadership service, Easter Lutheran Church has conferred the title of Pastor Emeritus for him.
